  • Fantastic cottage in lovely grounds with spectacular views. Handily positioned for good access from the road, yet far enough away to give privacy. With no light pollution on a night, the starry skies looked amazing. Great cosy feel to the cottage but with all the amenities we required. Lovely big enclosed garden, great for kids or dogs. We will definitely be returning.

  • One of the best places we have stayed so far, the place was impeccably clean, outstanding views and amazing luxury. We had been provided with perfect instructions on how to get there and once we reached the rest was history. If there is one place you want to go and don’t know where, close your eyes and book this place and you will be in for an amazing treat.

  • Beautiful cottage. We had a family catch up and it was perfect. Plenty of space - 5 of us stayed but 3 more day visitors came for the day. A comfortable and welcoming cottage. We loved the views (even though it rained the entire weekend) and we loved strolling round the garden in our pyjamas. We really want to come back at a different time of year.

  • As nice as the pictures are they don’t do the place justice. The property is full of rustic charm and finished to a really high standard. All of the beds are exceptionally comfortable too. It was perfectly situated for all of our planned activities which included climbing snowdon and Go Below. I’d heavily recommend this property to anyone planning a trip to the Snowdonia national park as it’s a great base and isolated enough that you have total privacy.

  • We've recently returned from a 4 day break at Tan Yr Allt, a gorgeous cottage blending old school charm and modern home comforts; it's location was extremely well hidden, peaceful and a much needed escape from it all.
    The welcome hamper after a very long drive, was a delight to see and truly appreciated.
    A great base for varied walks with our 2 dogs, we found it extremely hard to leave.

  • Just returned from our annual family break from a week spent in this wonderful holiday home! Spotlessly clean & well-equipped. Owner, Suzannah has obviously taken great care to ensure the comfort of her guests. Lovely comfy beds & sofas. Thoroughly enjoyed the remoteness of the property with many points of interest a mere 1/2 hour away. Don’t very often return to the same place, but in this instance I have an idea we’ll be making an exception! Thank you for a lovely holiday. Xx

  • August 2021 Such a beautiful cottage! Suzannah was a fab host, left a very generous welcome hamper, lots of recommendations for dining and days out. The house itself was beautifully finished and the most comfortable beds we've slept in. Cottage but upmarket hotel standards! definitely recommend.

  • August The cottage is beautifully presented in lovely gardens and has everything that you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It is ideally located if you want to be away from it all, but within reasonable driving distance of resorts and activities. Suzannah is a great host with excellent communication and response times.   • August Amazing authentic Welsh cottage, set in a lovely rural valley. Updated with modern facilities and very clean and welcoming (esp the log fire). Although feeling quite remote, it is quite close to main towns and attractions and walks and pubs. lovely big space, ideal for a family gathering. Some mention the road, but inside you really can't hear it and unless you're looking for silence, it's not intrusive if in the garden. Loved it!

  • July 2021 We absolutely loved our stay. We had been travelling around England and Wales and north Wales was our definite highlight. The house is perfect. So many lovely touches and stunning location. Suzannah was a great host providing help and info beforehand so we could organise our son’s 18th birthday. The nearby beaches are beautiful but you could easily spend a week at the house and on the well stocked gardens. Definitely follow google maps to get there and enjoy once you do. Ps thanks for the additional fans they were put to good use this week - another thoughtful touch. And the welcome hamper and milk! Especially after travelling with 5 kids for 8 hours. I was desperate for a brew and the fizz! X

  • July 2021 The accommodation is clean spacious and well proportioned. It is easily missed from the main road as it is hidden behind some trees which makes it nice and secluded. It is ideally situated for local tourist attractions but local shop are a short drive away. I have no complaints and would highly recommend this property

  • June 2021 Wow! What a perfect secret escape! A beautiful, peaceful home tucked away in the hills! We booked this house as a 3 day getaway from our busy lives at home and to climb Snowdon which is only an hours drive away. The house was immaculate and equipped with everything you need! Along with garden games and board game for extra entertainment. Very spacious, there was only 4 of us but more then enough room for 10! The communication with Suzannah was excellent! Kept us fully updated with welcome emails and information. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

  • June 2021 Fantastic accommodation in a great location. The property is maintained to a very high standard, beautifully furnished whilst maintaining the authentic cottage feel. Rooms and bed very comfortable. It is very peaceful if you just want to chill in the large well kept gardens but plenty to occupy you close by for those feeling energetic. Whole experience was excellent. Will be looking to return and try another season.

  • June 2021 Anyone wishing to stay a beautiful cottage with no neighbours (other than sheep) with all mod cons and a stunning location, look no further. This cottage has clearly just had a revamp, luxurious bathrooms, a gorgeous living room with vaulted ceiling attached the the original cottage which has a lovely old kitchen (but with all mod cons), another living room and wood burners. The location has no neighbours but is easily accessible to the local villages. The weather wasn’t kind to us, but sitting in the living room all cosy was delightful and more than made up for the rain. The grounds are gorgeous and perfect for when the sun does shine. I’d definitely book again and would recommend highly.

  • May 2021 This is an absolutely amazing property in a fantastic location. The property is beautifully presented, very clean and well equipped, with lots of thoughtful touches. We visited in summer, and it was cosy without being too warm. Excellent showers. Like us, you will probably miss the turning on your arrival, but then you get a lot more confident about recognising it from a distance while driving along the road. Even though it's a main road, it's not very busy and you won't hear any road noise inside due to the double glazing. We had a wonderful time here, and just wished we could have stayed longer.

  • May 2021 Exceeded expectations despite the horrific weather this place was perfect, luxurious and cosy. Wood fire and bbq, aswell as a fully equipped kitchen ensured we had everything we needed. Great communication from hosts and everything is thought of to make this such a great getaway. Highly recommend.

  • April 2021 5-star accommodation located on a great, peaceful area. We loved how well surrounded we are with riverbank, trees, mountain, fields and sheeps (that my kids really loved watching everyday). Place is family-oriented. Although my kids are always prepared and has brought their toys, the summer house and the lounge were stuffed with so many recreational toys for kids of all ages. Rooms are all spacious and nicely decorated, and easily felt at home. It’s also on a great spot not too far from the tourist spots you don’t want to miss when you visit Wales.
